It’s beginning to look a lot like… SUMMER! Though still being in quarantine is changing the way we can spend time celebrating the warm weather, there are still so many things that COVID-19 will never take away from us. One, being the way we can express ourselves. There are plenty of ways to do that, but the timeless and international language of expression through makeup becomes even more incredible during the summer months!

Our wonderfully talented Head of Makeup, Adam Oaknine, has shared some of the best spring/summer looks and must haves to get a hold of and try out this summer!

“Spring has sprung, and so, it's time to say “See you next winter!” to all of the nude lipsticks and neutral toned palettes! With summer just around the corner, I'm encouraging you all to start playing with softer, colourful, yet subtle makeup and have fun! Makeup is your friend, and never to be feared! It has transformative powers that can make us feel strong, confident and of course, gorgeous. Whether it be that badass cat eye, or that stunning pink lip, makeup moves us all.

SPRING/ SUMMER MAKEUP MUST HAVES

“Before we get into the plenty of looks that you could incorporate into your spring and summer makeup regime, let’s talk about some makeup must haves that are staples to achieving all these fun summer looks!”

FOUNDATION:

High end: It Cosmetics CC cream

Drugstore: Maybelline BB cream

“For the summer, BB and CC creams are great because they feel super light and fresh on the skin, but still deliver great coverage!! Also, they have tons of skincare benefits and usually include SUNSCREEN for when the weather gets warmer!”

CONCEALER:

High end: Nars radiant creamy concealer

Drugstore: Maybelline age rewind concealer

Tip: You want something that isn't too heavy and “cakey,” especially as the weather gets warmer. The goal is to look natural and effortless while also still achieving that flawless coverage!

BLUSH:
