Models Off Duty

There is something so alluring about a model spotted off duty. Although they may shed their designer digs for something more casual, and trade catwalks for sidewalks, models seem to keep the aura of grace and elegance. This fusion of comfort and style has become so popular in the fashion world that it has been dubbed the “model-off-duty look”.

The effortless model-off-duty style trend is highly sought after. Not only is it comfortable and practical, but also just a bit more affordable than Louis Vuitton or Bottega Veneta. You don’t necessarily have to be a model to pull of this latest fashion trend - but if you’re looking for some inspiration the VCFS models are here to help. Read on for outfit details and from our model portfolio and start to plan your next model-off-duty look.

“After an unfortunate run-in that my guitar had with a flight of stairs, my main priority today is to find a music store that can restring it. The job hasn’t been easy on me though, so my next big task is to get an everything bagel and matcha to refuel me (from Cogro of course). After that, I’m headed to Stauffer to get some studying done, then I’ll end the day off with a grocery run to stock back up on almond milk.”

“This is my go-to outfit for when I need a simple but still put together look (and when I want to pretend I’m a Scandinavian IT girl).  I am proud to say that the majority of this outfit is actually thrifted.  My jeans are Levi’s from the men’s section of Value Village and my trench is from Talize.  I paired it with a black ribbed turtleneck and oversized white blouse from H&M for extra layers.  With such a simple base outfit I wanted to accessorize with some red Oakley sunglasses, a tote that was a gift from a friend’s trip to Denmark, and of course some rings (Modern Primitive is a Kingston hidden gem for fun and well priced accessories).  My favourite part of this outfit are my cowboy boots which are from the Montreal brand L’Intervalle.”

"This outfit is one of my favs because it gives a hint of professionalism with the London Fog overcoat and Dollarama scarf, but the off-the-shoulder Forever 21 crop top with buttons gives elements of fun and creativity. I thrifted the Top Shop jeans from Value Village and copped the boots from Stitches. What's great about this outfit is that it can be easily replicated and gives model vibes all for under $25."
